Justin’s first introduction to martial arts came via his father. Justin’s father, being an

experienced wrestler himself knew the physical and mental benefits wrestling could provide

to his son, on and off the mat. He began teaching Justin basic wrestling moves at 5 years

old. Being from a dominant wrestling state such as Indiana, Justin started his official

wrestling program in the 2nd grade and continued through out until his Senior year of high

school.

Shortly after graduating high school, Justin joined the Air Force. Upon completing technical

school, Justin was stationed at Yokota AB, Japan…where he met Prof Bobby. After a couple

of months of training Justin captured a gold medal at the prestigious IBJJF Asian Open.

Later that year Justin was awarded his blue belt in 2013. During the end of his tour in Japan

he received orders to Aviano AB, Italy.

Justin continued his martial arts studies and joined one of the best kickboxing academies in

Italy, the Kombat Gym. Within in a few weeks Justin was asked to be apart of the gym’s

MMA team which had some of the best Bellator fighters in Italy. Justin fought semi-

professional MMA until his tour in Italy came to an end.

Upon completing his contract he exited the military and returned home. Justin made

numerous trips from Indiana to Texas to train with Prof Bobby. In 2023 Justin decided to call

Texas home and continue on his martial arts path.

Coach Justin is fully committed to sharing his BJJ, wrestling and MMA experience with the

entire Mushin family.
